How a level works

Every level is built around themed categories and gives you the words you need to find. Your job is to locate each one among the letters and swipe across it. A word can lie along any straight line: top to bottom, bottom to top, left to right, right to left, or on a slant. Because some of those directions read backwards, it pays to look at each letter from every side instead of scanning the grid only the way you would read a page. If a word on the list refuses to turn up, try reading the lines of letters in the opposite direction.

The secret words

Hidden Words are what set this apart from a plain word search. They are not on the list, so you cannot simply read them off and go looking. Instead, the words you swipe hand out hints toward them, which means clearing the list also feeds the hunt for the secret ones. Collect six Hidden Words and you earn bonus coins. So the game effectively runs two searches at once: the one you are given, and the one you piece together from what the first reveals.

The themed categories cover a broad spread of subjects. Some are there purely for fun and others have something to teach, so a round can be light entertainment or a small dose of learning. The format itself is simple and familiar, which makes it an easy game to share with friends.
