Prism Match 3D

Puzzle Added 2025-11-11

Tap a cube, it drops into the tray along the bottom of the screen, and three of a kind vanish together. The tray has seven bays. Fill all seven without completing a set and the run is over on the spot, back to level one.

Seven bays are the only thing standing between you and the end of a run. Everything you pick up goes into one and stays there until a third of its kind turns up, so the true cost of a cube is never the cube. It is the bay.

Reading the cluster

The cubes sit in a loose three-dimensional lattice, and at any moment a good half of them are greyed out. Grey means covered, and covered means untappable. Dragging swings the whole cluster around, which is how you find out what is buried in the middle. It is not, though, how you get at it. I span the cluster through a full half-circle and the same four cubes stayed grey the entire time. What finally released two of them was taking the single cube sitting in front of them. Turning is reconnaissance. Clearing is progress.

What the first Game Over teaches

Level one is fifteen cubes, five neat triples, forgiving enough that you can pick things up more or less at random and still finish. Level two roughly doubles the count and changes the symbol set outright, and that is where a tray carrying four lonely singletons becomes fatal rather than untidy. Three helper buttons sit down the right-hand edge, undo, retrieve and shuffle, each with an advert price printed underneath it. They exist for precisely that tray.

FAQ

Why do some cubes ignore me when I tap them?
They are dimmed, which means another cube is covering them. Taking the cube in front lit a pair of them up immediately in my run, while turning the cluster a full half-circle left the same cubes dim, so clearing is what frees them rather than finding a better angle.
What happens the moment the tray fills?
The run ends. A card names the level you got to, pauses on "Checking your rank...", and then offers one button, Play Again. There is no continue and no revive, and the next run restarts at level one.
Do the symbols stay the same as you go?
No. Level one ran on money bags, ants, peaches, turtles and a pufferfish. Level two swapped the lot for broken hearts, saplings, waffles, mushrooms, cocktails and more, on a cluster roughly twice the size and much more loosely packed.
