Physics on every shot

Physics is the headline feature of Archer Ragdoll. The archers are ragdolls, and both arrows and armour behave realistically: an arrow can ricochet loudly and bounce away, which creates situations nobody could plan. The game treats that unpredictability as part of the fun. The graphics are meant to be easy on the eye, with explosions, sparks and splashes filling the screen.

Drawing, aiming and hitting

Drawing the bow is straightforward. Hold the mouse, or a finger on the highlighted left part of the screen, behind your archer, then aim while the bow stays drawn and let go. There is no need to drag it horizontally. The bow stays drawn for as long as you keep holding, and the arrow only flies when you let go, which leaves the timing of every shot in your hands. The damage system is what gives the aim its weight: each part of the body takes a different amount of damage, which the game presents as a step toward realism, so the question is not only whether you hit, but where. Unique arrows add another layer, since each type brings a gameplay feature of its own and adds variety to the fight.

Upgrades, rivals and rankings

You can upgrade your hero on the way to becoming a master archer, and the game sets interesting opponents and powerful bosses against you as a real challenge. For players who like to compare, there is a general ranking of players where you can show your skills, and daily player ratings that let you keep levelling up.
