Merging on the cooking table

The puzzle side of the game happens on the cooking table. Ingredients sit on it, and bringing matching ones together combines them into something new, so simple ingredients build up, step by step, into dishes far more involved than a sandwich. The table can be expanded as you go, and a bigger table holds more ingredients at once, which leaves room to cook more.

A family café to rebuild

The story is a simple one. You have left life in a big city to come back to the café your grandfather once ran, a place that used to be popular but has been empty for a long time. You cook food and drinks for the visitors who come in, and the money you earn goes into repairs and upgrades. The inside of the café comes first, then its facade, and more locations open up as you progress, 21 in all, each with its own look and theme. Along the way you meet new characters, and your cooking is how you win them over. Your kitchen grows as well, with new equipment and better tools.

Getting started

You begin with little more than the abandoned café and rebuild it one step at a time. The early missions teach the basics, and hints appear when you might otherwise overlook something. The game is free to play in the browser, with no download, using either a mouse or a touch screen.

• Keep combining ingredients; merging is how new ones appear.
• Expand the cooking table when you get the chance, so it can hold more.
• Upgrade your kitchen tools, since better tools make cooking more efficient.
• Pay attention to the hints early on; they cover the basics quickly.
