Prey that is on its guard

The animals here do not stand around waiting to be shot. They are wary, and two mistakes can scare one off: getting too close, or missing. A scared animal runs away, and stopping that from happening is the real challenge. The game asks you for stealth and care, which makes the approach every bit as important as the aim.

Making the shot count

Those two rules suggest two habits. Since a miss can send your target running, take aim before you fire. On a computer, the right mouse button is for targeting and the left one shoots; on a phone, aiming has its own action button and a tap on the screen fires. And since coming too close has the same effect, stop at a sensible distance and take the shot from there rather than walking right up to the animal.

For getting about, WASD walks you through the level, holding Shift turns the walk into a run and Space jumps. On a phone, a stick handles walking while the action buttons take care of jumping and running.

Rewards, weapons and worlds

A successful hunt pays out a reward, and the store is where you spend it. It carries a range of weapons, so every good hunt moves you closer to a new one. There are lots of levels to clear, set in game worlds with different climates, and the aim is to complete all of them. The game’s description also invites players to suggest ideas for new levels.
