Nova Hop

How a run works

Your ship rides a ring around a planet and loops it by itself. You never steer; the only decision is when to let go. Leave too early or too late and you drift past the next orbit, which ends the run. Leave at the right moment and you slot onto the new ring and start circling again, lining up the following jump.

Risk against reward

The scoring pulls in two directions at once. Short, careful hops keep you alive, but the big numbers come from long jumps across several worlds, worth 100 points for every planet left behind. Meanwhile a quiet penalty ticks away: each full circle trims 10 points from your total. Strong runs mix the two, leaving quickly when the next ring lines up and gambling on a distant orbit when one swings within reach.

Climbing the levels

A level lasts twenty planets. Clear it and the pace rises, so the patience that served you early becomes a liability later on. On desktop, P gives you a breather in the middle of a run, M turns the sound off, and R starts a new attempt after a game over. On mobile the whole screen is the button, which makes Nova Hop an easy game to play with a single thumb.

The rhythm that results is watch, wait, commit. Every landing resets the question, so a good run feels less like one long test of reflexes and more like a string of small, confident decisions, each one a little faster than the last.
