Down the slope

The course is a never-ending downhill run over the inclined surfaces of buildings. The ball rolls along it, and your main task is to keep it there. Nothing waits at the end, because there is no end. A run is measured in distance and lasts until the ball slips off and lands on the floor below, so every attempt is a chance to beat the distance you managed last time.

Speed and steering

Because the surface keeps falling away, the ball picks up serious speed as it goes, and the faster it rolls, the less time you have to react. Steering is limited to two directions: A or the Left arrow sends the ball left, and D or the Right arrow sends it right. With only those two moves to work with, it pays to make small corrections early rather than wait and swerve at the last moment.

Power-ups and the mouse

Power-ups add a second job on top of the steering. They pop up along the right-hand side of the screen, and you choose and trigger them with the cursor and the left mouse button. That splits the controls between keyboard and mouse. Since each direction has two keys, a comfortable setup is to steer with A and D under one hand and keep the other on the mouse, ready for the next power-up. The game’s own promise is that practice pays off: it says the more you play, the easier and more enjoyable it becomes.
