Trap the Convoy

How the drivers think

The trucks are not driving blind. Their drivers keep their eyes on the road, and a mine they notice with time to spare is simply steered around. That one rule shapes the whole game. A mine dropped well ahead of a vehicle is wasted, because the driver has room to swerve past it. The game points to two ways round this: timing and width. Throw late, right under the nose of a truck, so there is no chance to turn away, or place two mines next to each other so the road is closed from one edge to the other.

What the convoy sends at you

Not every vehicle behaves the same way. Fuel tankers explode, and the blast can take other trucks down too, so a mine under a tanker may deal with more than one vehicle at once. Engineers dig your mines back up, which is one more reason not to lay them early and hope for the best. Raiders do not keep their place in the column; they race past the rest of the traffic. A tank, finally, only stops after five mines.

Aiming on desktop and mobile

On a keyboard, aiming works on two axes. The up and down arrows move the target along the road, the left and right arrows move it across, and Space throws. A mouse click near the road does both jobs at once. On a phone, a single tap throws a mine exactly where you touch, while dragging lets you settle your aim first and throw when you lift your finger. Whichever method you use, the lesson from the drivers holds: the later a mine lands in front of a truck, the less chance that truck has to get away.
