A rescue on an alien world

Billy’s friend Adduk has been carried off by an alien robot, and reaching Adduk means crossing a planet nobody has mapped. The route is lined with dangerous traps and strong enemies. The look is pure retro: pixel graphics in the spirit of old-school arcade games, set against a story of action and intrigue. The developer describes the result as a mix of nostalgia and modern game design.

Moving and jumping

The controls are the classic platformer pair. The arrow keys move Billy along, steering him around obstacles and enemies, while Space handles the jumps, whether that means clearing a gap or landing on a platform. The difficulty climbs as you progress, and later levels ask for sharper timing and better strategy. Every level brings obstacles of its own, so it pays to think about the route before committing to it.

Power-ups and hidden routes

Power-ups are waiting along the way, and each one you collect makes Billy more capable, which improves your odds of making it through. Some are tucked away on secret paths. The game advises keeping your eyes open for those routes, since they frequently end at a useful power-up or a safe place to stand, so a short detour off the obvious path can pay for itself.

Patience against the clock

Two of the game’s tips pull in opposite directions. Linger too long in a level and more enemies spawn, so hanging back makes things harder. Rush in without a clear plan, though, and you risk losses you could have avoided. The way through is steady progress: look at what is ahead, settle on a route, then move through it without dawdling.
