Steering and growing

You guide a single worm with the mouse, and it heads wherever the cursor points. The arena is shared with opponents who are all after the same food. Eating is how you grow, and growth is what keeps you safe, because larger worms are able to trap smaller ones. Being the small worm in a crowd is the risky position, and the game sums up the whole idea as survival through strategic growth.

Time Mode or Endless Mode

The two modes shape a match in different ways. Time Mode is made for short, intense sessions where every second counts: the clock runs down while you try to take in more mass than anyone else and outscore the rest. Endless Mode is the classic .io setup. The match lasts for as long as you survive, and along the way you trap opponents, keep growing and try to become a giant at the top of the leaderboard.

Grow before you fight

The game’s most direct tip is about timing: grow first, challenge others later. A small worm that goes looking for trouble risks being trapped by a bigger one. Early in a match, concentrate on food and keep clear of larger worms. Once size is on your side, trapping opponents becomes a realistic aim, and in Endless Mode that is part of how you climb the leaderboard.

Power-ups and a shrinking arena

Power-ups add another layer. The game names magnets and speed boosts and says they bring strategy to what would otherwise be a simple eating frenzy. The play zones also shrink, which is where Worm Hunt gets its battle royale flavor, and it means less room to keep your distance from bigger worms.
